The first generation of a family business takes all the risks. It’s up to the second generation to keep the business growing. The third generation has a chance to make the business into something special.
CLEAN began as CLEAN Coverall Supply Co. in 1938, when Morris Lazaroff moved to St. Louis from Detroit in search of a “clean” start. Morris faced his share of risks, but he was confident in his philosophy: “Make The Customer Love You!” After 31 years, Morris handed off day-to-day operations to his sons, Neil and Gary. This was the start of a period of rapid expansion for the CLEAN, The Uniform Company. While they always held innovation as one of their highest priorities in order to stay on the cutting edge, Neil and Gary’s focus was still on the philosophy that got them so far.
By the third generation, CLEAN had grown into one of the largest independent industrial launderers in the nation. Always growing and always expanding, the third generation have turned their family’s project into something unique in the industry.
CLEAN through the years…
